Comprehensive Serato Scratch Live Layout which lets you access most of what's in Serato including: Transport Absolute, Relative, Internal Modes Pitch Nudge, Pitch Adjust, Fine Pitch Adjust, Pitch Range Cue points Temp Cue Points Looping, Looping + FX Beat Roll X-Y Pad for FX 1 and 2 + Fader for FX 3 FX BPM SP6 including play mode, volume, pitch, and gain for each sample in all 4 SP6 banks. Button set aside for 'stutter' which is not yet midi mappable (hopefully soon??) Page 1: Overview and Transport for Deck A + B Page 2: Focused Deck A with fX and loop controls Page 3: Focused Deck B with fX and loop controls Page 4: Deck A + B Loop and fX controls Page 5: Deck A + B Loop and SP-6 controls Page 6: SP-6 Controls Most of the layout and controls are pretty self explanatory. Green implies deck 1, red implies deck 2. Thanks for doing this layout, it's pretty sweet to be able to use my iPad. Anyone else having problems controlling the SP6 controls?
Sep 20, 2013 - This week we're taking a break from live Friday Forums but we've still got a. Hexler's popular app TouchOSC to control Ableton for live performance. And it's downloading now the template, which takes only a few seconds. TouchOSC is an officially supported Apple Logic Pro and Express Control Surface. Download TouchOSC Editor for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux to create and customize layouts for TouchOSC Bridge is a standalone tool application for Windows and Mac OS X that relays MIDI messages sent.
Loaded the XML in, the Overview, Deck 1, Deck 2 are good. But not getting any connection between the SP6 controls and Serato with the exception of a couple buttons. Clicking on the Midi button in Serato reveals that most SP6 controls aren't assigned. Is that right? One other thing I found, trying to resolve, is that with the Deck 1 effects, I'm supposed to be able to touch the X-Y pad and it will select 'Deck 1' in Serato. I see Deck 1 light up when I touch it, but upon releasing it it unhighlights and stays on Deck 2.
Any suggestions on how to fix? New to Osculator, Midi, and all this, so any instructions would be great. Thanks Rafik, this is great! Almost 6 years ago Hey B H, glad you found this helpful.
In regards to the SP-6 buttons, they are actually addressed in the midi.xml file and they were working fine for me when I made this last year.though it looks like the midi variable names may have changed in an update down the line. I rewrote the.xml file to try to fix the issue, though unfortunately, I no longer have Serato to actually test or troubleshoot this. If you get a chance, email me at [email protected] and I'll send you another.midi template file to try. If we're able to get it working properly, then I'll reupload the fixed version.
As for the X-Y pad, it's made to be a momentary effects pad. When you touch, it activates effects to the corresponding deck. When you release, it deactivates it. I can add a seperate button next to the X-Y pad to toggle the effects on/off so you don't have to keep your finger on the x-y pad if that's what you're looking for. Thanks for your comments and help:).
